The Family Outing

Saturday the 23rd we kidnapped the family and took them on an adventure. Our first stop was the pumpkin farm. The hay maze... aren't those the cutest kids you ever saw? (I'm not bragging either. Our piano teacher always tells us that you're not bragging if you're telling the truth.)
Jeff was the first to find his pumpkin. He just wanted out of that muddy place. Notice Ady carrying a pumpkin in the back right...
Ady was the last to pick out her pumpkin. She carried around 5 different pumpkins thinking they were the "one" but the perfectionist in her just could not decide.
I think we got the best ones in the whole field.
Our cozy tractor ride we squished with another family.
We saw pigs, rode ponies, helped to make apple cider listened to music, bought Swiss chard and squash and watched a huge pumpkin be catapulted into the air and break into smithereens. All sorts of mud and fun.
The family humored me in going to see the "return of the Salmon" in downtown Issaquah. I am always amazed at this phenomenon of nature... these Salmon follow their instincts to the place of their birth, against the current, jumping stream only to be back in the waiting pools, hatch eggs and die. So fascinating.
I'm not a professional photographer but wouldja look at that Salmon jumping out of the water... trying to go "up the ladder."
We ended our fun day at a new restaurant in town called "Billy Bobs" that was yummy... nothing but fried foods and BBQ.
