Our Happy New Year Fest

The best part of New Year's Eve is the F O O D! We spent a lot of the day making dips and all sorts of yummies. (I don't even think that all the desserts are on the table at this time.) You probably are thinking that we had a neighborhood party with all of this food, but really it was only for 12 people. Our goal was to gain some weight on the last day of the year so that our New Year's resolution of losing weight would be that much more dramatic.
My mom got the family some marshmallow guns for Christmas that weren't very used until I had an idea... I called Mom down to the storage room where we got dressed up and were going to have a "stick up." It worked as planned. When everyone was interested in their plates of food and starting to get sleepy we ran up the stairs and yelled, "everybody drop your plates!!!" and started shooting baby marshmallows everywhere. We pretty much scared everyone. Spencer started screaming and the rest of the kids jumped out of their seats. Kaden asked, "Mommy is that you? Why are you scaring us like that?" It was so funny and really perked everyone up for the rest of the evening. Mom acted like she had an Annie Oakely bottled up inside her screaming to come out. She was in character.

The activity for the night was Wii games. Marianne looks like she is taking this boxing match a little too seriously. She was sore the next day. Our favorite race became the cow racing... or golfing until 3:00 in the morning for all the boys, on more than 1 occasion.

Ady thought I was the weirdest when I ran outside banging pots and pans when the New Year arrived. She changed her mind and realized how absolutely cool I was and joined me.
Streamers going everywhere. My kids say that Bubba is a "kid" just like them. Here's only 1 example of why they still think that...
Happy New Year cute girls.
