Well, if you were Jeff you would want the finishing touches put onto your newly decorated, super cozy and clean master bedroom....which would include a zebra rug! WOW! Actually, here's the story... The bedroom was mostly done a few weeks ago as you saw posted. I was still looking for a cumfy chair for the corner and something neat to go on the wall. My friend who was helping me found the neat, huge plant and then said, "Marcia don't die when I say this, but I think that your room needs a rug at the foot of the bed to add a pattern to the very solid colors going on and to tie everything together...I think it would look super cool, but what would you think of a zebra rug?" I squealed with delight because secretly I have always wanted a small amount of something zebra'ish in my bedroom or bathroom. Jeff has thought it was too much to have animal print and never took me seriously. So, when I went and bought the rug I had major doubts that this was going to go over well at all. I bought it with the intention of returning it. I also found the perfect chair for our room and had it placed in it's spot with a blanket covering it. The kids wrote a sign that said, "DO NOT UNCOVER UNTIL FATHER'S DAY!" Of course he knew it was a chair... I also bought a huge white canvas at Michael's and painted it the same color as the dresser then lightly brushed some goldish color into it, hoping to find the perfect quote I could write up on it with vinyl lettering. So...when Father's Day came I laid out the rug and uncovered the chair and had the everything in place for Jeff's gift. (super nervous about the rug...but I actually loved it!) Jeff walked in and saw this...
and he loved it too! He loved the zebra rug and everything. He loved the painted canvas so much he thought I bought it and liked it just the way it was...with no words on it. The chair matches the headboard on our bed...cream/leather. I was relieved and happy that everything was done now for reals.
I believe Jeff had a lovely Father's Day. I made his favorite Chicken Cordon Bleu for dinner. We spent the day as a family playing games and enjoying being together. I'll briefly mention the lovely chats we had with our own fathers too. That's a whole other post to describe the wonderful men our dad's are...but we sure love them and hope they can hurry and come visit us especially to see our new bedroom.

LOVE IT! LOVE IT! I must admit I was skeptical when you told me about the rug...but it looks great! What a peaceful and relaxing bedroom. great job!
